The BlueBoat Hatch Base and Latches are one of the parts of the boat that took the longest to develop. The Hatch Base uses a foam O-ring to seal to the hull and is held in place with the included backing plate and hardware. It’s symmetric and identical on the port and starboard sides of the boat, so you’ll need two of these for a pair of hulls.

The Hatch Base is designed to fit the cutout on the top of the BlueBoat hull, but you can also cut the same shape in other USV hulls or containers to install the hatch! The backing plate can be used as a template for the required shape.

The custom designed latches secure the Hatch Lid to the Hatch Base and make a satisfying click! as they are secured.
