By default, the BaseStation comes with an omnidirectional antenna that receives and transmits signals equally in all directions, making it great for short-range general use. For long-range missions, a directional antenna can greatly boost communication range by focusing the signal towards the BlueBoat.
The BaseStation Directional Antenna Kit comes in two versions:
Both kits come with everything needed to install on the BaseStation. You’ll want to mount these on a tripod at least 1.5 meters off the ground, but an even taller tripod will get better performance. Check out the installation guide for more information about installing these on the BaseStation and configuring settings.
